Introduction I've basically created this blog inorder to connect those with Eating Disorders, or those recoverying to an ED Buddie (pal). An ED Buddie (based on your information and goals) is someone who faces the same hardships as you. You are matched up with someone who will most likely benefit you. You will be able to talk to them, about anything -without the fear of them not understanding. For example, if you suffer from bulimia and are anti pr- mia, I will not match you up with a pro-mia. Instead I will match you up with someone who feels the same way as you do, about their illness. I will send you an e-mail (so, yes! You NEED an e-mail) with information on the person I have picked for you. Eating Disorder Encyclopedia: Need help firguring out which Illness you suffer from? Read the below: Anorexia: The person with the disease psychologically believes they are fat and then proceeds to starve themselves, and often believes to be worthless because of their illness. They are not Pro-Ana, the person does not give out tips or tricks. Usually don't looks at thinspo. Have a low self image and worth of themseleves and they are usually really thin and unhealthy. Often are prefectionist, and are put on high pedestal by friends and family. Goes weeks without eating.
Ana: The person with a disease similar to anorexia. Usually, a bit larger though. Often over-weight. Gives out, as well as researches thinspo, tricks, tips, etc. Most are not ashamed of their illness, and actually thinks it's helping them. A lot wear red braclets. The person often fasts, and restricts calories (around 600 calories or less). The number on the scale means everything to them. Binge Eater: Some who eating overly large amounts of food in a short period of time. Often suffers from short periods of bulimia. Recovery: Some who has suffered and often still battles one of the above illness. Restoration or return to any former and better state or condition. Complusive Exerciser: This is a common Eating Disorder, which goes untreated very so often because people tend to turn their heads. And, simply, because they don't know it exist. But, it is an Eating Disorder. Characterized by over-exercising. The person usually eats very little. Ex: Their total calorie count for the entire day is: 500, so they burn 1000. They often ("quickly") faint after (sometime during) exercising, become light headed, or blurry-eyed. Want An ED Buddie? Fill out the questionare below I will find a buddy suitable to your needs.
